1. The Service

SQLExplain.ai provides tools for:

• SQL query explanation
• Database schema visualisation (ER diagrams)
• Interactive SQL sandbox environments
• AI-assisted learning and guidance

The Service is provided for educational, analytical, and development purposes only.

2. Eligibility

You must:

• Be at least 13 years old
• Have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
• Use the Service in compliance with applicable laws

If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation.

3. Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account
• You are responsible for all activity under your account
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms

4. Subscriptions & Payments

4.1 Plans

SQLExplain.ai may offer free and paid subscription plans with differing limits and features.

4.2 Billing

• Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis
• Payments are processed by third-party providers
• Subscription contracts are entered into with REVISEBYPHONE LTD

4.3 Refunds

Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable.

5. Fair Use & Rate Limiting

We may enforce:

• Request rate limits
• Token usage caps
• Sandbox usage restrictions

Excessive or abusive usage may result in throttling, suspension, or termination.

6. Acceptable Use

You must not:

• Upload malicious, illegal, or harmful SQL
• Attempt to access other users' data or systems
• Use the Service for production workloads
• Reverse-engineer or exploit the Service
• Upload sensitive or regulated data (e.g. real PII)

7. User Content

7.1 Ownership

You retain ownership of content you submit.

7.2 Licence

You grant REVISEBYPHONE LTD a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your content solely to operate and improve the Service.

7.3 Responsibility

You are solely responsible for your content and its legality.

8. AI-Generated Content

AI responses are generated automatically and:

• May be inaccurate or incomplete
• Are provided "as is"
• Must be independently verified

We make no guarantees regarding correctness or suitability.

9. Sandbox Environments

• Sandboxes are temporary and isolated
• Data persistence is not guaranteed
• Unsaved or inactive sandboxes may be deleted
• You must not rely on sandboxes for critical data.

10. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Service, including software, branding, and visualisations, belong to REVISEBYPHONE LTD or its licensors.

11. Availability & Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Abuse the Service
• Pose a security or legal risk

You may stop using the Service at any time.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, REVISEBYPHONE LTD, operating SQLExplain.ai, shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless REVISEBYPHONE LTD from claims arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
